Superior Performance

Different types of abrasives are recommended for different materials. For example:

• A (Alumina): Steel and cast parts

• WA (White Alumina): Hardened steel

• C (Silicon Carbide): Cast iron, brass, aluminum

• CBN and Diamond: Hard alloys, carbide, ceramics

Stones should be replaced when their surface roughness increases, their diameter decreases to limit values or they lose their form. Regular diamond grinding extends the life of the stone.

The hardness of the stone should be inversely proportional to the hardness of the material to be processed.

• Hard material = soft stone

• Soft material = hard stone

This increases the stone's self-renewal and abrasion efficiency.

CBN wheels: Ideal for steel and alloy steels.

• Diamond stones: Used on carbide, ceramics and non-ferrous metals.

Diamond is harder than CBN but there is a risk of reaction with ferrous metals.
